WATA is an electro-chlorinator that produces sodium hypochlorite from water, salt and an energy source (which can be solar). This active chlorine is used for the treatment of drinking water and the production of surface disinfectant.
WATA is relevant for the disinfection of drinking water supply networks in rural or peri-urban areas. It is also used to treat water for displaced populations during humanitarian crises. In isolated health centers, WATA allows the autonomous production of disinfectant.

Product:
WATA electrolysers can produce between 0.5L and 60L of a 5 g/L concentrated sodium hypochlorite (active chlorine) solution, for a 2-hour production. The only inputs required are salt, water and energy, which can be solar.
Watalux and its network of representatives offer the following services:
- distribution of WATA technology (sales and logistics)
- Sizing and project management for the implementation of autonomous chlorine production units in rural/isolated or peri-urban areas, for the reinforcement of hygiene in hospitals and/or water treatment (mainly for village water supply systems)
- Installation and training of field operators for the technology and solar modules
- Follow-up, project evaluation and after-sales service.
