A school enterprise in the processing of agricultural products: MURICASA

Getting in touch

Entrepreneurs du Monde, already active in Casamance for 8 years, has decided to create a company-school which will be the missing link between :

  • producers who lose part of their harvest due to lack of market outlets
  • enterprises that can only process and market a part of these agricultural products due to the lack of storage and distribution facilities - young people and women who want to work in a skilled and paid position
  • consumers in Dakar, an emerging middle class that likes Casamance products, wants and can buy them.

TERANGA offers three services:

- Technical training in fruit processing.
- Technical support to the actors of the sector: training and access to automated equipment.
- Preservation solutions for raw materials.

During its incubation and until it becomes autonomous, the highly experienced Senegalese team is closely supported by Entrepreneurs du Monde's technical experts: operations management, information and management systems, social performance, strategic planning, administrative and financial management, governance, human resources management, risk management, advocacy & fundraising.
