Business Partnership Facility

The Business Partnership Facility is an initiative of the Luxembourg Cooperation. It aims to co-finance innovative, high-impact business partnership projects between a European company and an entity based in a developing country!

 

Are you a European company? Would you like to discover new markets and share your know-how or technology with as many people as possible? This funding is for you!

 

BENEFICIARIES

The project leader must be a private-sector company based in Europe, coordinating the project on behalf of the partners, at least one of whom must be a local partner (public entity, university, research institute or civil society actor(s) based in a developing country).

The project owner must meet the following conditions:

  • at least three years of existence at the date of signature of the co-financing agreement and activity in the sector concerned;
  • average annual sales of at least €500,000 or three times the total amount of the proposed project over the three financial years preceding the year in which the call for projects is launched;
  • minimum of five employees at the time of submission of the project proposal;
  • meet the conditions set out in the declaration of honour attached to the application form;
  • comply with the "de minimis" regulation

 

PROJECTS

All sectors of activity are eligible for GMP, provided that the proposed project contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Proposed projects must be implemented in developing countries eligible for official development assistance.

 

Examples of projects that can be supported:

  •  a feasibility study ;
  •  know-how and technology transfer;
  •  a pilot project in a new market.

 

The key is to contribute directly to the achievement of one or more Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the country where the project is implemented.

AMOUNT

GMP is based on co-financing of up to 50%, up to a maximum of €200,000.

DEADLINES

The BPF operates on the basis of a call for projects. Two calls for proposals are planned for 2024:

  • Participate in the first edition of the year by submitting your form before April 30, 2024.
  • Need a little more time? You can submit your application form for the second edition in 2024. You have until October 31, 2024.
