AGUA DE SOL has developed a new process for producing drinking water. This water is produced from two abundant, renewable and free resources: atmospheric humidity and the sun.
The water vapour is fixed at night by an adsorbent and then extracted during the day thanks to solar thermal energy. Solar radiation also enables sterilisation.
The carbon footprint of water produced in situ using solar energy, without plastic packaging or transport, is therefore almost zero. The cost of the water obtained is much lower than bottled water, which is often the solution used to drink healthy water.
