Created in October 2002 by three founding French-speaking regions (Rhône-Alpes in France, Timbuktu in Mali and Rabat-Salé-Zemour-Zaër in Morocco), AIRF has been working for 20 years to promote the Francophonie, strengthen regionalization and promote economic development in the French-speaking world, by implementing the guidelines of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) at local level.

What we can contribute
Product, service or intervention proposed
AIRF works to develop the economic Francophonie. By promoting an integrated territorial approach and strengthening the synergies and coalitions of territorial development players, regional governments have the capacity to revitalize local economies and improve people's access to basic services, by relying on the economic Francophonie. It accelerates business flows between companies in French-speaking territories, and generates field actions and development projects implementing French-speaking solutions and innovations adapted to territorial planning and regional investment programs.
Involved in this theme since 2016, AIRF mobilizes three modes of action: thematic workshops, Francophone or international economic meetings, and inter-regional cooperation projects.
