Founded in 2008, ATIA is an NGO specializing in the design and implementation of development aid programs. ATIA grew out of the Inter Aide association, whose charter it respects.
In 2023, ATIA will be running 15 programs in 5 countries (India, Bangladesh, Madagascar, Burkina Faso and Togo), helping the most disadvantaged families to improve their living conditions on their own, using a combined or "integrated" approach in 4 areas:
- education: pre-schooling and prevention of school failure in primary schools
- social: support for the poorest families (listening, guidance, advice) and early childhood development
- access to healthcare: combating tuberculosis and social protection schemes (mutual health insurance)
- access to employment: vocational training and support for micro-entrepreneurs, encouraging savings and productive loans through social microfinance institutions.
Programs are defined on the basis of families' needs and co-developed with local partner associations, which are supported and strengthened technically and financially by ATIA to become self-sufficient.
