ENDA WATER-POPULAR

enda eau-populaire, created in June 1994, is a community-based programme that aims to improve access to water, hygiene and sanitation for the poor and to improve their behaviour towards the environment. Its intervention methodology is based on a participatory and community-based approach that fully involves the population in the implementation of the project from start to finish.
The objectives of enda - eau populaire :
To bring the service of drinking water, hygiene, sanitation and environment within the reach of poor populations, including those living in irregular areas (urban and rural)
Strengthen the involvement of the population in the life of their locality by
improving their living environment,
engaging people in representative structures,
participation in development actions.
Strengthen consultation between the State, private companies delegated to provide public services, civil society and the population on unifying themes such as drinking water supply, sanitation, hygiene and the environment.
