As an extension of the EDF Group's commitment, the EDF GROUP FOUNDATION supports public-interest initiatives in France and abroad in the fields of :
* Education, by supporting
- In France, by supporting projects that promote equal opportunities and enlighten young citizens about social issues.
- In developing countries, projects which, using EDF Group know-how :
o provide energy to improve educational conditions in rural areas ;
o develop technical training in the energy sector, which creates jobs.
* Inclusion, by supporting projects in France that improve integration conditions for the most disadvantaged, and internationally, energy access projects that provide access to essential goods and accelerate local economic development.
* Environment, by supporting educational programs to combat climate change and nature-based solutions that help preserve biodiversity.
In addition to financial support, the EDF Group and its employees provide skills sponsorship to support associations in their projects.

In international solidarity projects, the EDF Group Foundation can finance the electrical equipment needed for the project and its installation. It also supports associations with skills sponsorship thanks to EDF Group's employee volunteers, who can bring their expertise to bear on electricity issues.

Contributions we can make to our partner

We support associations, via skills sponsorship, from the sizing of the installation to the acceptance of the site, including the analysis of estimates and the choice of equipment, training in the maintenance of installations, etc.

What we are looking for

Product, service or intervention sought

Internationally, we support projects for access to essential goods (water, health, education, economic development) which, in order to succeed, need access to electricity. We prioritise projects in isolated areas (outside the public electricity network).

We also support training in renewable energy in the South.

Our expectations/interest in creating a partnership

Conditions of eligibility of a structure for a partnership with the EDF Group Foundation:

  • be eligible for sponsorship
  • have its registered office in France
  • not be of a religious, denominational or political nature
  • act in one of the EDF Group Foundation's fields of action: Environment, Education, Inclusion
  • have been in existence for at least two years

Your project must:

  • To meet the objectives pursued by the EDF Group Foundation in its three areas of action
  • benefit the younger generation and/or vulnerable groups
  • demonstrate its feasibility and deployment potential
  • have an assessable social impact
  • offer opportunities for skills sponsorship for EDF Group employees
