Who are we?
The FOOYRÉ Association ''Source de lumière et du Savoir'' is a non-profit organization under the French law of 1901. It was legally created in November 2020 and listed in the field of social and solidarity economy by the competent authorities. Thus, in accordance with the social legislation in force, FOOYRÉ through its ambitious vision, wants to bring together scattered energies in order to better contribute to the dynamics of change and digital transformation.
Indeed, the rapid and deep mutations that our world so connoted of globality undergoes seem to be vertiginous and thus push humanity to adopt alternatives for an inclusive and sustainable Development. Also, the pillars of societies acting for change and for the development of human capital are education, training, ethics and participation articulated in a systemic and interactive process. In this framework, a synergy of actions of the various stakeholders concerned with a just and equitable world and the emergence of a universal conscience is on the agenda.
From then on, at the level of our Association, the challenge is to renew solidarity links, to encourage intercultural diversity and to catalyze the potential for action of each and everyone, to engage active approaches to participation and empowerment of citizens, to renew development with its territory, its history, its culture while opening it up to the outside world. The implementation of such approaches requires the capitalization of local development experiences as well as knowledge of innovative projects and the gathering of scattered energies.
Our mission:
- to federate the organizations of migrants and more particularly those Senegalese around interactive digital platforms,
- to seek any action likely to promote the spirit of living together in the socio-cultural diversity and in the respect of the other,
- participate in the transition of the next generation of young people in the diaspora, thus contributing to the influence of the values of the republic and participatory citizenship,
- to rely on technological innovations and inventions with the sole aim of developing programs and projects for the benefit of the populations in the areas served in sub-Saharan Africa,
- to join any similar initiative emanating from another organization in the dynamism of synergy of actions and collective intelligence in order to better impact decentralized cooperation,
- to promote the good practices of the French local authorities in order to serve as a model for those in Senegal.
Strategic orientations
Through its strategic orientations, FOOYRÉ focuses its intervention on the following components: digital and digital transformation of non-profit associations (ASBL), territorial development, international cooperation, youth mobility and social entrepreneurship. The Association by its social and solidarity character, may decide to grant its human, material and financial support to other collective experiences, whether French, Senegalese or foreign, whose activity would allow the implementation of common actions that could lead to the realization of multidisciplinary programs.
The Association reserves the right to take the initiative, as far as it is able, to send a team to any approved country, and to seek all the assistance and sound collaborations to enable its administrative staff to carry out their missions in any part of the world where they may be called to serve. This assistance will include equipment, facilities and techniques, training and may be accessible to disadvantaged populations in order to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural areas, including assistance to solidarity and digital culture, assistance to promote local initiatives working for competitiveness, leadership and empowerment of actors to change.
