Kynarou is a development association that promotes access to essential services (water, sanitation, waste, family farming) in the South. We work in India, Burkina Faso, Togo and Benin.
Kynarou's missions in the field:
- To improve access to essential services by standardising water and sanitation structures in the villages.
- Promote the self-management of populations by creating management committees in each village.
- Raise awareness and support the population in good hygiene and water management practices.
Kynarou's actions in France :
- Education for citizenship and international solidarity in schools
- Wash in 5 Challenge (solidarity challenge on social networks)
- Organisation of cultural events for the general public
- Solidarity shop online and on the stands (handicrafts and fair trade)
What we can contribute
Product, service or intervention proposed
Our 18 years of expertise in water and sanitation projects in South India have given us a very good knowledge of the local context. Since 2004, Kynarou has developed its activities in more than 60 villages, providing daily access to drinking water and sanitation to over 100,000 beneficiaries.
Since 2016 we have been developing our activities in West Africa, where we have been able to replicate the Indian model by adapting to the context of each country of intervention.
Our teams can offer their technical and social expertise in our various fields and countries of intervention: technical expertise, socio-cultural analyses, audits/monitoring/evaluations, etc., project set-up and implementation.

Contributions we can make to our partner
We can provide field expertise, study, analysis and evaluation of projects. Our HR department can train teams in project coordination, among other things, network, strong international experience and adaptability to the context.
