Schneider Electric's Access to Energy service is an initiative to provide access to safe, reliable and sustainable energy to disadvantaged communities and remote regions around the world. Schneider Electric, in collaboration with local partners, strives to bridge the energy gap by implementing innovative solutions tailored to the specific needs of each community.

The Access to Energy service comprises several key components. Firstly, it involves the installation of decentralized energy solutions, such as solar mini-grids, energy storage systems and rural electrification solutions. These solutions enable communities to access reliable electricity to power homes, schools, health centers and local businesses.

In addition, Access to Energy focuses on training and capacity building for local stakeholders. Schneider Electric works closely with local communities and entrepreneurs to train them in the installation, operation and maintenance of renewable energy systems. This promotes local job creation and the sustainable economic development of the beneficiary regions.

The Access to Energy service also integrates productive electrification solutions, enabling communities to develop income-generating economic activities. For example, this could involve providing energy for farming tools, irrigation systems, food processing machinery or small production workshops.

Finally, Access to Energy includes an inclusive approach that takes into account the specific needs of women, children and marginalized groups. It aims to empower these populations by giving them access to energy, which improves their quality of life, and promotes education, health and general well-being.

Through its commitment to energy access, Schneider Electric is helping to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goal 7, which aims to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.

In short, Schneider Electric's Access to Energy service is a comprehensive program that aims to provide clean, affordable energy to disadvantaged communities, combining technical solutions, local training and an inclusive approach. It is a concrete initiative to promote sustainable development and the eradication of energy poverty worldwide.
