40 years of expertise in the supply of drinking water to rural and peri-urban areas in Africa.
As designers, suppliers and installers of water supply solutions for rural Africa, we serve African communities and administrations, international donors and United Nations agencies. We also support numerous Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in the framework of emergency, post-emergency and development programmes.
Our extensive network of decentralised after-sales services guarantees users the availability and durability of their equipment, whether it be Human Powered Pumps (HPP), drinking water supply networks (WWS), etc.
Human Powered Pumps (HPP): 40 years of innovation, economical, durable, easy to maintain, local service
Ten times lighter than conventional water pumps, they can be assembled and disassembled by two people, in a few minutes and without lifting equipment
Easier to maintain than conventional water pumps. Their wear parts are placed on the surface and not at the bottom of the borehole
VERGNET HYDRO's water pumps are guaranteed to be corrosion-free. All parts are made of stainless steel
Their cost is very economical in the long term (average life span of 15 years)
The after-sales service network (3500 repairers) is decentralised in 35 countries, with perfectly identified contacts
Drinking water supply: 20 years of expertise, a dedicated team, tailor-made and environmentally friendly projects
In line with the new expectations of the African rural water supply sector, VERGNET HYDRO is developing solid expertise in the construction of drinking water supply systems, particularly solar systems, from pumping stations to taps. In 15 years, the company has installed more than 10,000 km of pipes. This business now represents the major part of our turnover and six of our engineers and technicians are dedicated to this activity. The company's solar expertise is not limited to pumping systems. VERGNET HYDRO also implements solar solutions for drinking water treatment or water service management.
The specifications of calls for tender in the rural water sector, to which VERGNET HYDRO responds, regularly require oversized pumping equipment or inefficient distribution systems, in relation to the real needs of the populations. When the opportunity arises, our technical teams propose less energy-consuming and more environmentally friendly alternatives.
If it is economically feasible, our teams always favour a solution using solar energy over one using fossil fuels.
It should also be noted that our company uses materials (stainless steel, galvanised steel, etc.) that guarantee the absence of metal particle pollution in all its installations.
