School of Hope

• Educational support for underprivileged children aged 8 to 12 in Cameroon, through the use of 40-foot containers fitted out as classrooms.

The idea was born of an observation made during a stay in Cameroon: very often, after school, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., the kids find themselves left to their own devices, as their parents are in town looking for a little job or a nest egg for daily survival.

During this period, these children are left to their own devices, developing illicit activities and sometimes indulging in drug abuse.

The idea is to provide a solution that will reduce the risk of dropping out of school and, above all, enable these young people not to engage in this kind of practice.

For this project, we will be seeking the support of a French institution for the departure of a civic service or international solidarity volunteer to Cameroon, who will take part in the project by setting up the following activities: Goutter, animation games, homework help and awareness-raising on various subjects.

Project partners: Village de Castillon débats ( set up a day of activities - walk - bike ride - lunch ) estimated funding to raise: 1500 euros .. september 2023 / Ecole primaire d'AIGNAN et EAUZE ( collect didactic material ..pencils, kits, pens) Organization of a day within the schools.

Funding sought: 8500 euros... Completion date November 2023
