The Essential Services Unit (ESU) is a place providing sustainable access to essential services (drinking water, energy, communication, handicrafts, health, food preservation and processing, etc.).

for the use of landlocked populations in Central Africa. Pot@mai is currently developing
UUTs powered by a tidal turbine in partnership with Hydro-Gen. Other sources of renewable energy
could be considered for the dissemination of UUTs in Central Africa.
