Created in 2016, Amoddou is a Franco-Swiss Non-Governmental International Solidarity Organisation, whose mission is to organise travelling medical and solidarity caravans in regions with a low density of health structures. At the same time, we set up targeted training courses for the medical staff in these regions. Our teams intervene on a voluntary basis and only upon request from a local structure, in order to set up actions that are tailored to the needs of the local populations.
to the needs of local populations.

Furthermore, the association places its project in the general interest by opening up to all publics, particularly the most vulnerable, and by guaranteeing the non-profit, secular and apolitical nature of its activities. In all circumstances, the association guarantees a democratic and transparent functioning and preserves the disinterested character of its management. Amoddou's actions are
conducted within the framework of its Charter of Values. The association pursues a non-profit goal.

What we can contribute

Product, service or intervention proposed

Amoddou is an independent and autonomous Franco-Swiss International Solidarity Organisation. It sets up travelling medical and solidarity caravans in isolated regions with few health facilities, as well as training activities.

In order to guarantee missions adapted to local needs and to avoid any interference in the projects we carry out, Amoddou only intervenes at the request of a local and recognised structure of the country concerned.

Amoddou's projects are implemented in strict accordance with its charter, with a real analysis of local needs.

Our expectations/interest in creating a partnership

The commitment of our partners (technical, logistical, financial and media) is essential to carry out our missions and sustain our actions.

Following a request from the Non Nobis association, which has been active in the Republic of Guinea since 2005, we are coordinating a new medical caravan project planned for 2022. The priority mission of this action will be to carry out consultations and offer free care to the local population.

Our itinerant caravan will take place in the communes of Sabadou-Baranama and Boula, which belong to the twelve rural communes of the prefecture of Kankan, located 75km away. It covers an area of 2616 km2, with a total population estimated at 23244 inhabitants. The difficult access to this region and the few health structures present make it a particularly isolated region. It is in this context of isolation that our association has been asked to lead a medical and solidarity caravan. In addition to the consultations, we are going to set up training activities for the local medical staff and health promotion activities for the local population.

In order to respond to the needs of local health issues, the multidisciplinary team involved in the field will be made up of 12 carers. Any company, community or association is warmly invited to join our current partners in supporting this project.
