After a first mission in Morocco in May 2017, Amoddou is preparing to set up a second travelling medical caravan with a new destination, the Republic of Guinea. This action, which will take place in May 2022, will have as its priority mission to carry out consultations and offer free care to the local population.
Our itinerant caravan will take place in the communes of Sabadou-Baranama and Boula, which belong to the twelve rural communes of the prefecture of Kankan, located 75km away. It covers an area of 2616 km2, with a total population estimated at 23244 inhabitants. The difficult access to this region and the few health structures present make it a particularly isolated region. It is in this context of isolation that our association was asked by the Non Nobis association to lead a medical and solidarity caravan.
In parallel to the consultations, we will set up training activities for local health care staff and health promotion activities for the local population.
In order to respond to the needs of local health issues, the multidisciplinary team engaged in the field will consist of 12 health workers.
