CASADES is a non-profit organisation created in 1997, concerned with the welfare, security and development of disadvantaged communities in urban and rural areas of SENEGAL.
Vision: CASADES is an autonomous and leading organisation in SENEGAL and in the sub-region (Gambia, Guinea Biseau, Republic of Guinea) in supporting umbrella organisations in the promotion of sustainable endogenous development and democracy
Mission: to develop networking and strengthen the capacities of community organisations, in particular women's organisations, to make them drivers of change and promotion for endogenous development and the stabilisation of security in their territories.
Areas of intervention: Food security and nutrition (support to women's and youth groups, micro enterprises, savings and credit, agriculture, nutrition)
WASH (water-hygiene-sanitation)
Governance (gender equality and equity, participation and human rights)
Environment and natural resource management (setting up and supporting Pastoral Units)
