Context: During a recent trip to Togo with her husbandDuring a recent trip to Togo with her husband, Mrs. Lakoussan-Cau, a native of Zanvé, noted a lack of water supply in the country, noteda lack of'This situation had already marked her adolescence. This observation led to the creation of thes mission is to participate in the improvement of the living conditions of the inhabitants of Zanvé.This led to the creation of the association Âmes Bienfaites, whose mission is to participate in the improvement of the living conditions of the inhabitants of Zanvé, and to make healthcare accessible to all. TPSF was contacted by the association with a view to implementing a project to alleviate the disastrous health situation and access to health care.

In Togo, the rural electrification rate is estimated at only 8%, andaccess to drinking water is limited. Indeed, the main sources of supply for the population are unprotected dug wells, thus favouring the development of waterborne diseases and the variability caused by the environment (drying up, pollution, etc.). Access to sanitation infrastructures is also difficult. In these conditions, access to health care is reduced both because of the above-mentioned problems, which do not allow for good hygiene and quality care, and because of the particularly poor state of the surrounding roads, which force the inhabitants to travel several kilometres, and often even to go to Benin, to receive care.

Project : The project consists of the study and implementation of'a Medical Centre in Zanvé to overcome the inaccessibility of care and the lack of medical equipment. A Women's House will be built, including a maternity ward, to enable girls and women to have access to reliable information on sexual health and maternity, and to give birth in hygienic conditions. Also, a modern dispensary will be built to receive patients with any illness. Finally, a school for nurses will be created to train the inhabitants and ensure the sustainability of the infrastructure and care.
