Supporting small farmers in agro-ecology and access to low-tech equipment, securing agricultural sectors
Farmers in African countries south of the Sahara face great difficulties (climate change, rampant desertification, lack of conservation infrastructure, etc.) which explain their low yields and incomes. These small producers are the first to suffer from undernourishment and/or malnutrition.
To help strengthen the sovereignty of small-scale producers, the team provides them with :
- refrigerated storage buildings with sustainable architecture;
- Quality seed nurseries;
- forest nurseries to slow desertification and improve food security;
- loans adapted to crop cycles;
low tech equipment such as motor pumps
